LED lights
Light significantly determines not only how
we see the environment but also how it feels. It affects our feelings if the light is cold, harsh and unfriendly, or
if it is invitingly warm and cosy. If we are designing or upgrading our homes,
selecting the right lighting should be a priority.
Very often, an ordinary ceiling light will
not be enough to create the right atmosphere inside a room. We all know from
experience how different it can look and feel by the switching on of a bedside or
coffee table light. LED lights are the ideal way of creating that special mood
in a room.

The possibilities
LED lights can be organised in an infinite
number of ways. We can position them as a spotlight or as an entire strip. They’re
so flexible – they can be installed in the ceiling, on furniture, or on the
floor. They can give a room a certain mystery. We can create a different
climate when we light up different sections of the installed lighting. Just try
getting the effect of dividing a room – perhaps the kitchen from the dining
area – by using LED lighting. The result will surprise you.
Getting the right amount of light.
LEDs produce pure light colour and give out
a much higher percentage of light – which makes them even more cost effective compared to traditional light sources. We can
often forget how the colour of light affects us – a warm flow of light is much
more likely to calm and relax us. Selecting colours with traditional lighting
is often difficult. With LEDs, we don’t
have a problem. Lighting fixtures can help us use smoothly adjustable colour
temperature.

LEDs can be adapted to any interior colour.
The three primary colours used in LEDlights (red, green and blue) and, depending on the combination, can form up to
16 million colours without the use of traditional filters. They are far more
saturated than traditional lighting sources that use halogen bulbs. And light rays can be very sharp, so you can
get amazing effects. Don’t forget, be
moderate in your use of lighting. Just using a few sources of light in a room
can make it look magical – too many sources can make it look cluttered.

Good lighting – good health
Think of the advantages of LED. Some
devices give out ultraviolet and infrared light, and flickering can be a
problem. With LED, there is no UV or IR and there’s no flickering – so you are
protecting your eyesight.
Technical advice
When installing LEDs, remember to connect
drivers close to them. This allows the voltage drop between the power supply
and the receiver to be small. This also
allows the dissipation of heat generated. We need to protect transmitter LEDs
that scatter light. Otherwise, strong light can bounce off different objects,
creating an unpleasant and distracting attention flash.
